Deep Sleep & Emotional Grounding

Benefits:
Valerian has long been cherished as a potent herbal sedative, used to gently quiet the mind, soothe restlessness, and support deep, restorative sleep. Particularly helpful for those who feel tired yet wired, it calms an overactive nervous system without the grogginess that often follows pharmaceutical sleep aids. In perimenopause, when hormone shifts may disrupt circadian rhythms and cause night wakings, valerian can be a valuable ally—relaxing both body and mind, and inviting deeper sleep.

How It Works:

  • Sleep Support: Promotes relaxation and improves sleep quality by enhancing GABA activity in the brain, which helps regulate the nervous system.

  • Eases Tension & Anxiety: Calms physical agitation, racing thoughts, and emotional overwhelm—especially useful during hormonally-triggered irritability or stress.

  • Perimenopause Ally: Addresses common midlife sleep disturbances and nighttime anxiety, offering gentle grounding during hormonal fluctuations.

  • Nervine Relaxant: Acts as a general sedative for the entire system, making it helpful in muscle tension, stress headaches, and emotional tightness.

Rebecca’s Tips: People seem to love or hate Valerian, in part I think because of it’s very distinctive smell. If the smell bothers you, try taking it in orange juice or when holding your nose. Go slow at first. Try a half dropper to see how you feel and work up if needed from there - but that might be enough. My son loves valerian - loves the smell and would request a full dropper to help with sleep on occassion when he was as young as 8 or 9. He never felt groggy the next morning so I just let him go for what seemed like a big (to me) dose. Valerian is especially helpful if you have strong menstrual cramps to help you get restful sleep and be less likely to wake from the discomfort.

Organic Valerian Root
Gluten Free Vodka

Suggested Use:
½-1 dropper full before bed or as needed for relaxation

Size :
2 ounces
Serving Size: 1 mL/ 20 drops/ one dropper full
